Ugly Dog Saloon

Diamond in the rough. I had passed this place hundreds of times and never knew that it was there. Texted a friend who wanted to meet for a bite to eat and a few drinks, they suggested The Ugly Dog Saloon. Being from the inner city of Pittsburgh I thought I knew just about all of the eateries and watering holes around town, but had never heard of the Ugly Dog before, so I said what they hell lets do the dam thing I'm hungy and thirsty. Upon entering the "Saloon" I notice the size of the place with a dart board and pool table and flat screens I was hooked now if the food is good and the price of drinks is right I'm really hooked and it was. I order the Ugly Dog speacial which came in a reasonable amout of time wich is about two beers. My only complaint is that if you have a large Bar area you really need two Bar staff otherwise service was ok.…

great place....just don't be dying of thirst. Awesome DJ.....gorgeous guys....diverse crowd (almost over crowded) and heavy handed bar staff.....just don't be going there if your dying of thirst. Literally waited 40 minutes for the bar staff to acknowledge my presence (even while waving a $50 to get their attention) to get my drinks. If your going there for the music, (small) dance floor or to shoot pool and have an occasional drink - great place. If your going to pop bottles alone - find another watering hole…

Great food and service!. I've been to the Ugly Dog Saloon recently and since they are under new management, things have seemed good to me. They have hired very friendly servers that were consistantly checking with my friends and me. The food is very very good. Their menu is amazing! It has something for everyone, from huge burgers to veggie wraps or panini. I highly recommend The Ugly Dog Saloon. They are going to be getting bands soon for the weekends so I think that will be an asset. I recommend The Ugly Dog for a night out. It's not too crowded but definitely people always there. They are open for lunch as well!…

Amazing Wings, poor service. We used to go there every Weds for their cheap wings. The food is amazing. Always fresh. Always hot. But don't expect to get your drinks or food orders placed or recieved in any sort of timely manner. They are understaffed and the waitresses they DO have on staff are rude, short, and very inconsiderate.

Recommedation: Order your drinks 2 at a time and all the food you want at the same time. That way you'll atleast not have to wait for your waitress to come back around to see if you need anything else... every 30-40 min.

I would and still do go there. Not for the service but for the tasty treats and strong beverages.…
