I went there because of a Groupon for a cut and color. I would never go there again. I'm female, and I like my hair short and up around my face. I talked with my stylist at length about what I wanted, and he seemed overly concerned about how short my hair would be, especially in the back. I ended up with the cut I wanted in the front and some weird thick patch of hair in the back. I kept saying I wanted it gone, but he insisted that it would look nice and he'd shorten it up (?). After 3 HOURS and the place closing down, I finally gave up and got out of the chair. I'll have to get someone else to fix it, because the location is pretty horrible to try to get back there. I should have paid more attention to lower rating the place got on Groupon.

My advice? Don't go there if you want an above-the-neckline cut.

Anna and Gary--Fabulous Facial and Massage!. I used a Groupon to visit the Izzazu Salon downtown. First let me say many places do not give you their best technicans to do Groupon clients because the technician is really doing the job for free (so be sure to tip on the price of the non-discounted service!). Not so here. Both Anna and Gary were among the best at their craft that I have ever experienced--and that includes spas in Europe, Vail, Scottsdale and Sedona.

Gary's massage was like heaven...I was limp at the end of an hour. He does a true massage, no short cuts.

Anna does a professional facial--not like some of the untrained people who call themeselves facialists. My skin felt brand new--it glowed! Anna also does wonderful pedicures and manicures.

Because both of these services are done in private suites, you are not subjected to the noise and hubbub of a busy cirty salon.

I can't speak to the other services or people at this salon, but these two are true pros--and without the attitude!

Ziggy...Great Job With Extensions. Ziggy has been styling my hair for over a year now and about two months ago put extensions in my hair. They have lasted great and I have lost very few, you can't even tell. He is more than CERTIFIED to do extensions and did a fabulous job. I have had numerous compliments on my hair since I had the extensions put in from how real it looks, what a great job the stylists did, how full it looks, you can't even tell they are extensions, etc. Ziggy was very thorough in explaining to me how to care for the extensions as well. Even before the extensions were put in I received compliments on my hair style and color constantly and recommended many people to Ziggy. He has always been extremely professional, friendly and helpful. I am constantly traveling and in front of people with my job and having my hair look good is important to me, and I trust Ziggy to that every time. When I can go to him and feel completely comfortable in getting my hair done, have a great conversation and walk out feeling like a million bucks and know my hair looks like it too...I thank Ziggy and his professionalism. I would go to no one else to have extensions put in my hair and will continue to have them kept up by Ziggy.

ZIGGY ..... Wonderful, profesional, AND CERTIFIED!. I was appalled when I read a recent review regarding Ziggy from Izzazu Salon. Whomever wrote this review needs to do their homework. Ziggy IS indeed certified to do extensions. I have had two sets of extensions and have been overwhelming satisfied BOTH times. Infact, I just had a set of extensions done two months ago and have not lost a single one yet! Keep in mind, you need to take the time to care for them on your own as well. When I first decided to get extensions I thoroughly researched the entire city and KNOW that I made the right decision. I could never be more pleased and will continue to be a loyal customer of Ziggy's. Oh, and his personality is the icing on the cake. He is outgoing, friendly, and makes you feel completely comfortable. I find it somewhat amusing that this person stated that he talked about himself the whole time. With that being said, if you are looking to get extensions, look no further... ZIGGY is the best.

ZIGGY.....Horrible and untrained stylist. I went to Ziggy in the wexford salon and spent hundreds of dollars and hours of my time on extenions that he claims last up to 9 months! Three days later...22 fell out already! I called another salon in the area to see if that was normal and then continued to tell me that Ziggy isnt even certified to apply these extensions!!! If this is such a high end salon why are they letting this man do something hes not qualified or trained to do? On top of that I had to listen to him talk about himself the whole time!!!! I will never be back and have since found a new salon to do my extensions...one thats certified!

Great haircut. I just got my first cut at izzazu. Cesar cut my hair and did a fantastic job. I told him to do whatever he wanted as long as he didn't dye it and kept it short. He gave me great layers that flow seamlessly and bangs that I really love. It's a great haircut! I didn't want anything edgy or over the top, but still trendy and fun. This is exactly what I had in mind. I noticed a lot of people complain that the stylists have their assistants do things, but I don't mind. I don't see why Cesar needs to waist his time shampooing or blowdrying my hair when the girl that did it was amazing. I also love the products that they used in my hair, I even purchased one when I left which I never ever do. BONUS: They offer free bangs touch-ups without an appointment! I was very pleased to learn this as I live downtown and can just quickly walk there whenever my bangs need a little touch up. The only drawback is the location-- Its not a very large place so the waiting area is small and uncomfortable for people who arrive 20 minutes early everywhere like myself.

Skeevy, Dirty, Mediocre. Unpleasant experience.

My cut and color are fine. And that's it. But the overly-pushy hairdresser Britanno who did it stressed me out. The hairbowl was dirty. The hair implements used on me were not sanitized. He got dye all over my face. One of my eyebrows is dyed darker because he was so sloppy dying my hair that it got ALL over my face, and he didn't try very hard to get it off. Imagine my surprise when I got home and saw that I had been walking around like that all afternoon.

He worked so quickly, literally hustling me from color to cut, the whole time telling me how amazing he is and how I should go on the website and give him a good review and how he wants me to come back. It was unsettling, and I wouldn't be surprised if he were on some artificial pick-me-up. He cared less about me and more about tauting himself, and the specialized products they sell.

I won't be going back. It was just not good enough. And the color I got I could have done at home out of a box.

Best color and cut I have ever had. I received a gift certificate to Izzazu salon and decided to use it the day before my wedding. It was worth the risk! I have long blond hair and Ceasar made me look like a movie star! He took what God gave me and made it spectacular with both highlights and lowlights. He also gave me a cut that is easy to manage but looks like I spent a lot of time on it in the morning. I never guessed that my coarse, curly hair could actually be managed! My wedding pictures look beautiful and because of the many compliments I received (and still receive almost daily), I will never go anywhere else! It is a little pricey, but totally worth the money!!! The staff is pleasant and everyone is professional yet personal. I have never had a problem getting an appointment...they have even been able to fit me in the day I called-twice! I have never had to wait past my appointment time and have never had to wait more than a few minutes to check out. I also love that they do not push their own products on you. I also had a mani-pedi they day before my wedding which turned out perfect and lasted our entire beach honeymoon. No complaints...everything is perfect everytime I have something done at Izzazu!

Overrated-more hype than highlight. An upscale salon with assistants should offer more efficient service. Right? It allowed the stylist to work on 4 heads at once. Efficient for the Salon not the client. Still took 2 hours and the apprentices do 1/2 the work-color and styling and pushing products.

Best salon anywhere!. I love Izzazu Salon! They do amazing things with hair. I see Emilio and he always makes me look like a million bucks and I've never had a bad experience with him. I believe it's a little more to see Emilio but well worth every penny. Their booster hair products are the best. I have flat, fine textured, straight hair and the booster adds a lot of volume to it. No other product has ever been able to work for me. I'm so happy I went to Izzazu Salon!
