Don't eat there. I used to be a regular at the Squirrel Hill location until one night when I was seated by the kitchen and I heard a loud crash. When I looked into the kitchen I saw that something tipped over and they were picking chicken up off the floor and serving it! Gross I will never go back there.
average.
If you are looking for shawarma this is not the right place for you
the so-called shawarma plate in their menu is just a big plate of canned hummos with little pieces of grilled dry chicken .
They should have call it aladin invention .
Average Meditteranean eatery.
First and foremost, it warrants mention that Aladdin's is a chain restaurant. While it tries to personalize things, there is only limited success.
The food is only mediocre. I had a pita wrap, but the pita was more like a burrito shell and the filling was bland--like Mediterranean-lite. The service is friendly, and the ambiance is nice. The prices re average--the Mediterranean Grill, down the road, is a little cheaper (and far better), and Pintai's, on Murray Ave., is a little more expensive (also better).
There are a number of non-chain Mediterranean establishments in Pittsburgh, and most are better than Aladdin's. You probably won't have a bad meal, but only an average one.
