Hot Spot/Great Food. Nakama is one of my favorite restaurants in Pittsburgh. The atmosphere is fabulous and the staff is always friendly. I've ate at the sushi bar and in the dining area and enjoyed myself at both. I brought my friends from out of town to Nakama and our chef was absolutely fantastic. He even let us get up and cook!! Looking for a good time and good food, go to Nakama!

Definitely THE place to eat.. Nakama is definitely the place to go if you want to have fun, delicious food (i recommend the Kobe beef and any of their sushi), and yummy drinks (I highly recommend the sexpotini). Ive never had a bad time at Nakama - its always great fun with your friends and even with the people you get to meet at your table. Although its always busy - that just adds to the atmosphere! The bar is always a great place to get drinks (they have a great list of really good cocktails) while you wait for your table. Its definitely THE place to eat if you want the whole package.

My favorite restaurant in the burgh.. I have been to Nakama on numerous occasions and always recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to eat. The food is delicious, the show is exciting, and the atmosphere is always fun. I have never had a bad experience at this restaurant and look forward to enjoying it for many meals to come.

Love it!. I have been going to Japanese tableside cooking restaurants for years. I have tried all the ones in the area as well as ones while I was traveling. Nakama is my absolute favorite. The food is terrific and the service is great.

I joined the VIP club. I get tons of great discount offers on birthdays and anniversaries.

This is a great restaurant for a special occasions or just a nice dinner.

Our co workers go there for lunches during the week. It's easy to get in and out in a reasonable time period for week day lunches.

Highly recommend!

Best sushi ever!!!!. Nakama is my first experience with sushi and I absolutely love it! My frineds go to Nakama 2-3 times a month and I always have a great time there. The food is fantastic and the service is wonderful. I never leave there unsatisfied.

Best in the Burgh. I have lived in Pittsburgh my entire life, and even though it is still relatively new, Nakama has surpassed everywhere else I have ever eaten and is most definitely my favorite. Whether I go for sushi or hibatchi, everything is always spectacular. The staff is always friendly and VERY knowledgable about everything on the menu. They have gone so far as to alter ingredients in a meal because I was allergic to what was supposed to be in it! Also, as far as the sushi is concerned, it is the best sushi I have ever eaten. I have had sushi in New York City and Los Angeles, but the sushi at Nakama is by far THE BEST. And the staff is always asking if everything is ok, and if it just so happens that you end-up not liking something, they will do anything and everything they can to make sure you end-up leaving happy and having eaten way too much. It is one of the few places I have ever been where the owners truly care about everything. Happiness, quality, safety, atmosphere, reputation....etc..... And, for the quality of food and service, it is VERY affordable. There are items on the menu even college students can afford. Point blank: I love it, and always will. You'll even find me there on my birthday. :-)

Best hibachi in Pittsburgh. A must if you live or are just visiting the Pittsburgh area. The hibachi is to die for an the sushi is just as good! Service is excellent and there is usually valet service out in front. The bartenders are experienced and create tasty martinis, like the "T-D tini". I definitely recommend the hibachi dinner. Plenty of choices to choose from. I prefer the Land & Sea which is a combination of scallops and NY sirloin. So GOOD!!! I'm always impressed everytime I visit Nakama. I even plan on taking my mother there for her birthday.

Great food! Great time!. This past august, I went to Nakama for my anniversary dinner with my boyfriend. The food was amazing and the chefs were outstanding. I would recommend Nakama to anyone of my friends and family. It was also a great way to meet new people. The people that were seated next to me were just enjoyable. BEWARE!-Good Reviews are for Gift Certificates. Nakama is really violating the spirit of this website! Look at all the good reviews posted today. Nakama sent out an email stating they'll give gift certificates for positive reviews! I've eaten twice at Nakama and been underwhelmed both times. The service was lousy and the restrooms were in desperate need of a cleaning. Shame on Naklama for being so sneaky!

Fun place to eat. We have been to Nakama on a number of occasions and have always had a great time! It is a great place to go with a group of people. The service is excellent! They have a very friendly wait staff and great chefs! Plus, after dinner you can hang out at the bar. I will definitely be back.
