AWESOME!. Just moved here to PA and had no idea where to get my second tattoo. Looked at these reviews.. went into the shop and it was clean, and everyone was nice. Vince was my artist and he was very nice and did such a great job on my tattoo. Suggested some things to do with it and it turned out amazing! Now my husband is going to Vince for his first tattoo!~ We love this place! I will be going back soon!

BEST TAT EVER!. I came from OH to have my 2cnd tattoo done by Chris at Misery Ink. My sister had recommended him to me and after seeing what an amazing job he did on hers I had no doubt he'd do an equally amazing job on mine and I was not dissapointed. I had a tiger liley put on my ankle and it actually looks as if its in 3D ready to grow out of my skin. Chris used at least 15 different colors. He is truely an amazing, creative and unique artist and I would highly encourage anyone wanting a tattoo to go to him. He will be the only person I ever go to from now on.

Far Exceeding my expectations!. I have had a few tattoos done at Misery Ink. Most recently I had a tattoo done for my son. A gift to myself for my birthday. I walked in knowing I wanted violets and a butterfly. My artist was Vince, who took the time to find pictures and design the tattoo for me, around my existing tattoos. With his knowledge of tattoos and the response the body will have over age, he helped my decide a perfect placement for my new piece. I came back a few weeks later for a few touch ups, which just totally took it over the top! While there for that visit, I asked his opinion in possibly recoloring an old flower tattoo I have. I had a picture on my phone of what the real flower looks like, and compared to what I had, they looked nothing alike. There was some serious black involved that he, among a discussion with the other artists at Misery Ink, had to decide if it were cover-able or not. They all agreed it would be and we started covering the black that session. I recently had it recolored and finished, and let me say that I could not be MORE PLEASED with his work. With his expert knowledge of mixing colors, shading and pure talent, Vince FAR EXCEEDED my expectations. I will be getting more work done with Vince at Misery Ink. Very unlikely I will go anywhere else. Thank you so much Vince!!

Additionally, the facilities are VERY clean and appealing compared to other places I have been in. They make sure you are comfortable and the staff is friendly and helpful. Each artist has their own private area to work in, that can be closed off or left open, to the preference of the customer. There is no smoke smell as I read in a previous review, the occasional smell of incense from the store next door is calming and not over powering at all.

This place is bomb!. My tattoo artist Chris was very friendly and organized. He helped me figure out exactly what I wanted and made sure I got it. I will definitely be getting another tattoo there.

Misery Ink: Top-Notch Tattoo Parlor. Chris was my tattoo artist. He took my incomplete ideas and helped me come up with two tattoos that look great. He offered suggestions and worked with me until we came up with ideas that I liked. The biggest confidence-builder for me was when Chris told me that I should come back for touch-ups because I had drank a lot of alcohol two nights before and was bleeding more than usual. He wants his work to be perfect so that it reflects positively upon him and Misery Ink. It was comforting to know that Chris was as concerned with the outcome of the tattoo as I was.

The workspace is clean, the environment is professional, the timeframe I waited for an appointment was short, and Chris offers free touch-ups.

I will use Misery Ink for as long as I am in Pittsburgh and I strongly recommend it

The best experience!. I just had my first tattoo done by Chris and he was awesome! He took time and talked with me about what I wanted and what would work and not work. He was just great, I can't say enough positive things about him! I will definitely go back to Misery Ink (and Chris) when I get another one!

I would not go anywhere else!. I got my most recent tattoo there from Byron. He was very friendly, talkative, knowledgeable, and did a great job on my phoenix tattoo on my arm. I will go back to Misery Ink for my next tattoo.

Thank You Chris!. Chris was a very gentle and professional person. I got my first tattoo with my daughter on the 25th and Chris made us feel very comfortable in the shop. I would recommend Chris to anyone looking for a clean, professional, and friendly atmosphere. Thank you for making our experience a memorable one, Chris!

Loved Chris!!!. My mother (65) and I decided to get a small tattoo with each other that had alot of meaning for us. This being my 2nd tat and her 1st. The shop was very clean (much cleaner than some Southside shops) and professional, Chris was our artist and did a fantastic job making us feel welcome and and leaving our nervousness at the door. I had my 11 yr old daughter with us and I had no worries about the atmosphere for her. The experience was a great memory for myself and my mom, Thanks to Chris!

Completely PROFESSIONAL. This was my first tattoo and I was a little bit nervous. When I walked in I didn't know what to expect. But it was very clean and I found everyone there very nice and professional. Chris, my tattoo artist did everything he could to make sure I was completely comfortable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and I know that I will be going there for my next one.
