I WAS VERY SURPRISED WHEN I READ THE PREVIOUS REVIEWS. EVERYONE I DEALT WITH AT SALEGO WAS VERY COURTEOUS AND PROFFESSIONAL. THE WOMAN RUNNING THE OFFICE TRACKED MY HOME WARRANTY PAPERWORK, SCHEDULED THE TECHNICAN AND RETURNED MY PHONE CALL IN UNDER 15 MINUTES. SHE TOLD ME THAT THE TECHNICAN WOULD BE AT MY HOUSE IN ABOUT ONE HOUR. THE TECHNICAN, MATT SHOWED UP RIGHT ON TIME. HE WAS CLEAN, PERSONABLE AND RIGHT ON TIME. HE COMPLETED THE JOB AND EXPLAINED IN DETAIL WHAT HE HAD REPAIRED.
SO... WHEN I GOT HOME LAST NIGHT AND MY FURNIACE WAS NOT WORKING I CALLED SALEGO. THEY WORKED EVERY THING OUT WITH MY HOME WARRANTY COMPANY TO COME OUT AFTER HOURS TO FIX IT. THE TECHNICIAN WAS AGAIN THE VERY PLEASANT & PROFESSIONAL MATT. HE FIXED IT IN LESS THAN A HALF HOUR AND IT DIDN'T COST ME A CENT! WAY TO GO SALEGO!
Very Displeased.. Everything was going fine, until i had a concern. I felt like I was being lied to, because several people were all giving me different stories on what was wrong with my furnace. One tech used a lighter to reassure me that the gas leak I had was small. I mean what if something went wrong. who does that?? One of the secretaries was rude when trying to schedule an appointment. Did not do what they told me they were going to do, until i continued to question them. All they kept doing was turning on and off the switch when trying to figure out the problem. Furnace was making a loud rattling noise and they told me that was normal. But when i had another company come, they fixed the problem right away. Really displeased with Salego all together. I would never call them to service my furnace again.
Horrible Slow Service. Still waiting for a resolution. On the hottest day of the year, my central air unit broke. My Home warranty co (which has been great) dispatched Salego on tuesday morning. The tech was there around noon, figured out that the motor locked up, that it was discontinued & left with the part saying he'd call HSA & take care of it. Over 24 hours later I called my warranty co. to check on the status & i find out Salego hasn't even contacted them yet! OVER 24 HOURS LATER!! I had HSA contact them when I was on the phone & they FINALLY told them what was wrong. I lost at least a day due to Salego never calling initially. To make a long story short, the entire unit needs to be replaced and so HSA is supposed to contact Salego to have them find a compatible unit. Who knows if they're competent enough to do so, or how long THAT's going to take. It's been a week without AC, it's the middle of August and I'm so frustrated I could scream.
Bad experience. Service order called in late on Friday night (furnace inop). Offered to come out that night, I declined and stated Saturday morning will be fine. They sent out a very inexperienced tech at 11:00 AM who repeatedly turned the on/off switch at least 12 times before he figured out that wasn't the problem. He then made phone calls to try to properly diagnose problem and came to the conclusion that my furnace needed a main control board, a part that was not in stock and that I would not have for 4 days. I have a working knowledge of electrical circuits so I decided to read the diagram and try to figure out the problem myself. After a few minutes of testing, I found that the main control board was not getting power due to a failed transformer. I called a local supply store, they had the part in stock and it cost me $8. I installed the part and the furnace worked fine. I paid Salego $75 for a service call and simply requested my money back. I was promised this money back 3 times in 3 months and still have not received a refund. I was told each time that it would be taken care of immediately by Andy Salego and I still have not received a refund. Poor service experience overall and I will never recommend this company to anyone.
