The Best.
We just ate the best pizza in Cincinnati....a frozen pizza from Napoli's. This palce is the best. My wife is fromPgh and has eaten here for 25+ years. We've been together for 20 and i've eaten here th e whole time. it's the best!!!
I've seen some of the reviews about the staff. These guys are sweet at heart they just may have a rough exterior sometimes. They really are super nice. Please don't miss out on some of the best pizza on the planet based on a few disgruntled patrons. Not to mention their Italian hoagy is the bomb!
Dependably excellent..
I lived in the pizza war zone (Mineo's, Aiello's, Napoli's) for 5 years, and though I found something to like about all of their respective pies, Napolis was my go-to place. They have excellent food and service. The main complaint I see on this site (which I've also heard from friends visiting from out of town) is that the staff is unfriendly... which I think is an unfair assessment. In my experience, the staff has always been friendly- I've always got what I ordered in a timely, professional fashion. if there was any kind of wait due to heavy business the staff were always sure to apologize for the wait. Sometimes I would find extra cuts once I opened the box at home if I had to wait too long. Unlike many other establishments, they don't waste their energy on gladhanding the customer- they just deliver excellent pizza. Their sauce is great- I think Mineo's is too salty. Their crust is great- not sugary like Aiello's. They also have the best sausage on the street AND the hands-down best white pizza, which is one of my favorites. Napoli's has the right balance of garlic, olive oil and tomato. In short, I love that place- I moved to Japan a couple years ago (where there's hardly anything Americans would call pizza) and just thinking of Napoli's makes me hungry and homesick.
Bravo Napoli's!
Angry and rude workers. This place makes decent Pizza. It is different than Mineo's and I like it. But as mentioned below the guys that work there are just downright mean. You feel as if you shouldn't be there trying to get a pizza because it annoys them. I even tipped the guy extra one day and he doesn't even say thanks. He looks like he is just angry I tipped him. I can't go here anymore because of their rude attitude towards customers.
Not as well known as Mineo's, but a family favorite.
This is my father's favorite restaurant in Squirrel Hill. The pizza has a thinner crust with generous toppings and cheese. The steak salad is one of my favorites in Pittsburgh. I've never liked the top end steak salad like the ones served at the Church Brew Works. Give me thin steaks and ordinary cheese and I'll be happy. This salad stands out due to the thick cut fries and the cucumbers and other extra veggies.
The decor could be updated. The wallpaper border could stand to be replaced.
bad manners!. I've been getting pizzas from there for the past 3 years. Its been good so far, but lately one of the guys there have been really rude and I think I'm done with the place. They can make great pizzas but their customer service leaves a bad taste in the mouth!!
Napoli. This is clearly the best pizza in Squirell Hill not to mention the city and I have eaten at so many different pizza shops and the food and the service from the great owners and staff is unbeatable. I have been eating there for 14 yrs.
Good Pizza. The pizza was very good. Definately a good choice during a cold day...
Nobody Likes to Come in 2nd Place. Napoli's has some great pizza. While it is located up the street from Mineo's which has to be aweful competition, with its spicy sausage it provides an excellent pizza alternative when you've had Mineo's 14 days in a row. Plus, they deliver!
