Sit at the sushi bar and let the chef prepare whatever they feel is the best that day. The sushi rolls aren't good here but the sushi bar is amazing!!! Avoid the rolls and order the real stuff. Their sushi was as good as Nobu, the scallops were as good as Sushi Sasabune, or Katsuya. It's not a flashy place by any means but definitely my favorite pick in LA for the moderate price level.
Pros: Sushi Bar!! Everything fresh from the chef

There aren't that many great sushi restaurants in MB and Octopus hasn't been consistant. Many trips they have been great, but the last few times the sushi wasn't the best. It is not that crowded and easy to get a table, but the servers do not speak great English. The prices are very reasonable.
