Locals and visitors agree, this is the view of all views in Pittsburgh..
Named after the most famous Washington in the United States, George, who spent plenty time in Western Pennsylvania during the French and Indian War, this hill never disappoints. Various fenced overlook plateaus allow people an unobstructed view of downtown Pittsburgh and the city's three rivers: the Monongahela, the Allegheny, and the Ohio.
A great spot for photos, Mount Washington is the first stop for many Pittsburghers entertaining guests. Prom nights pack Grandview Avenue with limos and couples looking for the perfect picture. The hill can be accessed by crossing the Liberty Bridge from the Golden Triangle and making a right onto McArdle Road. Another, more fun option is taking one of the inclines from Station Square up to the top. Some of the finest restaurants in the city are located here as well.
