Enjoyed a chicken salad sandwich here yesterday! Staff was friendly and served food in a timely manner. Although it was a bit pricey for a sandwich, it did come with chips or pretzels and a pickle slice. Worth every penny to me!

Worst Deli in Pittsburgh. This place is absolutely a waste of your time. Not only are they WAY TOO EXPENSIVE! The employees treat you like dirt, and toss you a slapped together sandwich, then rip you off $15 for it. No, you cannot give it back, even if you find a hair in it...yes, I did. What a waste!!!! You get better food and service at the gas station across the street. At least they don't charge you to use the bathroom! Completely ridiculous! Honestly, you'd be happier getting a hoagie from Subway

Best deli food in PGH. This is my favorite deli in Pittsburgh! I have never had a bad experience or meal here. They slice the meat, cheese and bread right before making your sandwich- very fresh! The selection is excellent and prices are very reasonable for what you get. I would eat lunch here every day if I could!!

Terrible Holiday Cookies. We were sent a nice arrangement of cookies. Looks were deceiving. The cookies were dry and had NO flavor. I do not recommend buying these cookies unless you've tasted them first. They tasted like they were left in the freezer from last year! YUCK!

Pgh's best deli!!. Great food, exceptional service, & friendly ownership. Food for Thought is a welcome addition to our neighborhood. You can't go wrong with any of their homemade soups or daily specials. They only stock the choicest Boar's Head meats and specialty items.

By far the best deli in Pittsburgh!!!!

Braddock Avenue's sandwich slinger.. The Scene
Folks line up at the counter, tempted by glass cases filled with salads and meats. This is a self-serve deli, with numerous tables for eat-in convenience. Service is fast, and the employees are exceedingly friendly.

The Food
They use the best available ingredients and offer delicious sandwiches and salads. The soups change daily and aren't too shabby. The chicken soup is rich and meaty, and the corned beef and cabbage, offered Mondays, is a true pleasure. The pastrami, corned beef and black angus beef burgers are all delicious. Breads are from Breadworks, always a good sign, and are made into generous sandwiches, including some creative triple-deckers.

The Salads
The creamy coleslaw is outstanding, as is the health salad: fresh vegetables marinated in Italian dressing. The red skin potato salad and the potato pancakes are also of good quality. Another nice feature is an assortment of unique high-end sodas.
