Find therapy in the form of dance.. The Scene
The scent from a single stick of insence fills the Helios Arts dance studio. Works created by local artists accent the walls along with fliers of Helios performances and awards, but the studio is so busy the owners had long ago given up on posting them all.

The Concept
Helios Arts focuses on the self-esteem of the individual rather than results through intimidation. The studio has found by being intense but not callous, students actually excel faster. The 9 instructors work with students to attain proper technique and muscle alignment. The majority of students are between ages 20-30, although children over the age of 3 and seniors are strongly encouraged as well.

The Dance
Jazz classes are the most popular classes along with tap and modern dance. The studio offers an assortment of classes such as classical ballet, dance medley, flamenco, hip-hop, salsa and t'ai chi. The studio has many classes focusing on the mind/body connection, such as the Alexander Technique that creates a balance in the body by releasing unnecessary tension.
