Neil Young & Crazy Horse Editorial Review
In Short
Neil Diamond has cranked out so many AM radio pop ballads, he's become the vocal track to muzak. But that's not saying that no one has paid much attention since the '70s. Since 1980, when Diamond starred with Sir Laurence Olivier in the film remake of "The Jazz Singer," he's become one of America's most popular entertainers. His enormously successful soundtrack to the film went quintuple-platinum and produced three Top 10 singles. Those who say that Diamond is the next Liberace for the blue-rinse set should simply forget about it. This guy is a classic.
