A hot dog shop with perhaps the finest beer list in the city.. The Scene
The food area consists of a counter and a couple of small tables. There is a back room with over 500 varieties of beers from around the world. You can mix and match them in six-packs, and some are very attractively priced. There are also six beers on tap, which change regularly.

The Food
There are natural casing pork dogs (Smith's, from Erie), and quarter-pound all beef kosher dog's (Best, from Chicago). Unusual toppings include a great hot pepper salad, red roasted peppers, and olives, as well as the traditional toppings.

If You Order One Thing
Go for the Smith's dog from Northwestern, Pa., but don't slop it down too much with condiments.

Hot Dogg!. I'm convinced that D's has the best doggs in Pittsburgh. As a mother of 3 children- the oppurtunity to get out alone with my husband rarley presents itself. Had a great date with him the other evening at D's. Great hot dogs with some exceptional beer. The great thing is the ability to try so many beers without having to decide 2 beers into a case that you really don't like it!! We just pick a country and start 'travelling'.

summertime!. Actually, D's is good any time of the year, but it's one of my favorite summertime haunts. The ambience is minimal (to none), but there are billions (!) of beers--which you can mix'n'match to take out--and the best dogs in town. The chili is great, the dogs delish, the poppy seed buns top it all off. Great place to stop in before or after a movie at the Regent Square Theatre!

Great Find. D's is a great place to stop in for a very good hot dog and great beer. With over 800 different beers, the selection is the best in western PA . The atmosphere is friendly and casual.

Single Beers!. D's is a great place to get a dog and a cold beer. The best part is the massive selections of singles that you can mix and match! Fantastic!
