Surrounding parkland tranquility and inexpensive greens fees combine to make this track a Pittsburgh golf hotspot.. The Scene
The facility, built in 1929 and run by the Allegheny County Parks Department, features severely undulating fairways in an otherwise straightforward layout. One small pond accounts for all the water on the course.

South Park has a separate nine-hole course as well. Playing nine holes on the 18-hole course is permitted after 5pm only.

Signature Hole
The turn at South Park comes early. The par-4 343-yard 7th is your last chance to visit the clubhouse before the end of your round. The fairway runs downhill from the tee with a strong left to right slope. Trees guarding the left side make for an awkward tee shot.

Green Space
It has no driving range, but it does offer a nice putting and chipping green, a pro-shop that opens at 5am, a snack bar and locker rooms.
