History and a panoramic vista make this Pittsburgh's most recognized snapshot.. In Short
Located where the three rivers meet (Allegheny, Monongahela and Ohio) at Pittsburgh's Golden Triangle, the park's gushing 150-foot-high water fountain has come to symbolize this fair city. The park covers only 36 acres, but it's loaded with history. It's a National Historic Landmark and home of the Fort Pitt Museum. The annual Three Rivers Arts Festival, the Pittsburgh Marathon and the Three Rivers Regatta come here every year. A bike and in-line skate trail blazes through the park.

Point of Interest. A multipurpose venue: picnicing, walks (romantic or not), scenic runs (with a breeze from the rivers), Pittsburgh's natural claim to fame, houses a museum and Fort Pitt, great place for outside sports such as frisbee or kite flying, and has plenty of bathroom facilities and vending machines (though as not to interrrupt the setting) to make anyone feel comfortable.

Pretty. A great family place to hang out at during the day, Point State Park offers scenery and fun.

Serene Beauty.. Point State Park is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a little peacefulness away from the business of the downtown area of Pittsburgh. You can picnic, read under the shade of a tree, or just sit and watch the boat traffic moving peacefully up and down the three rivers.
