The home of Duquesne University men's and women's basketball and other athletics is also the occasional home to concerts as well as musical acts, pro wrestling, and other events. With seating capacity around 6,200, A.J. Palumbo Center hosts the winter concerts that are too small for the arena and too large for Metropol or Laga.

The Benefits
Acoustics, which were dreadful when the place opened, have been improved dramatically, to the point where Palumbo is now a pretty decent place to see a show. Performance magazine, a concert trade publication, agrees, consistently naming the A.J. Palumbo Center one of the top 10 grossing arenas of its size since its opening in 1988.
